Servant Leadership

Budget & Finance

Generates annual budget proposal for officer action, monitors expenditures, account balances and overall financial health. Advises session and deaconate on financial matters. Reports financial condition to congregation periodically.

Global Missions

Organizes annual missions conference / emphasis, coordinates on-going mission prayer activities, elevates missions awareness throughout the year, recommends to Session candidates for missions support.

Discipleship

Facilitates discipling ministries: Sunday School (children and adults), small groups, Bible studies, VBS, nursery, etc.

Communication

Maintains SouthLake’s online presence and social media, assists with photos, newsletters, flyers and other print communications, generates banners, signage and other efforts to promote our ministry in the wider community.

Community Life

Coordinates fellowship events, meals (including bereavement and special needs), receptions, etc.

Outreach

Initiates and oversees word and deed gospel outreach to the community beyond the walls of SouthLake Church, e.g., Disaster Response, Mercy Ministries, Easter Sunrise Service.

Inreach

Promotes and enhances pastoral care within the congregation, visitation, cards, member recognition, prayer groups, assimilation ministries, etc.

Tech

Operates audio/video/lighting equipment for church services and other events. Produces online live-streaming broadcasts. Coordinates equipment maintenance and purchase.
